Even though I adore solo travel, it is rare that I travel alone. Meet my travel buddies, Fletch and Sledder!

Fletch and Sledder and I have been together for quite some time. I first met them in a shop at LAX somewhere around 2008. When we saw each other we immediately became best friends, so they accompanied me on our first adventure together, a road trip up to the Lost Coast of California. 17 years later (gosh has it really been that long?) we are all a little older but still going strong. They have been on every major trip with me since, and have been with me every time I have traveled solo.
Fletch and Sledder LOVE posing for pictures, it is their favorite thing to do when traveling. When I still had social media, they adored being on it, and enjoyed a fair amount of renown- among my friends, at least! This is the first journey we have had together without social media. They will miss seeing the likes and comments roll in, so I have promised them a feature post on this humble blog, and if you keep reading, you will see that they love accompanying me to famous monuments and picturesque places.
